Details are below. <p>The Skaneateles Area Arts Council will present its second edition of “Fall in Love With Art,” a tour of artist studios in the Skaneateles area, Oct. 3 and 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The tour features 13 artists in 10 studio locations based in homes throughout Skaneateles; the work of five artists presented in the Strods Barn on Benson Road; and West Lake Conservators, a nationally known art restoration firm in Skaneateles Falls. Proceeds from the tour will support the Arts Council’s cultural events and community grants program.</p>
<p><strong>Tickets are $20 (free, for those under 16) and can be purchased at the Sherwood Inn or the Skaneateles Area Chamber of Commerce</strong>. For more information on the Artist Studio Tour or other Arts Council programs, call 315-685-2414.</p>

<p>Artists featured in the Strods Barn, at 2863 Benson Road, are Patience Brewster (artist/illustrator), Barbara Delmonico (pastel artist), Chiara Kuhns (painter), Peggy Manring (watercolorist) and Stephanie Rudnick (painter).</p>
<p>At West Lake Conservators, 4207 Railroad St., visitors can learn about the conservation and preservation of art and artifacts.</p>
<p><em>“We are very excited about the depth of talent that the 18 featured artists bring to the tour,” says Hope Strods, chairwoman of the tour committee and an Arts Council board member. “Nearly 250 people attended the first edition of the Artist Studio Tour in 2006, and we are delighted to be presenting it again to the community.”</em></p>

<p>Actress Laura Austin and Holland Gregg will emcee the Skaneateles Area Arts Council’s fifth annual summer gala, featuring Judy Collins, from 6 to 10 p.m. July 12 on the shore at the lakeside estate of Stella Maris Retreat Center, a former Roosevelt mansion. Austin is founder and artistic director of the Redhouse Arts Center in Syracuse. Austin led the renovations of a three-story historic building in Armory Square to create the Redhouse. Under her artistic direction, the state-of-the-art facility has hosted more than 300 events in theater, film, visual art and music. Over the last four seasons, Austin has overseen the production of 16 plays in which her responsibilities included selecting, casting, commissioning, directing, acting, promotion and fundraising.</p>
<p>Austin has served on the boards of numerous arts organizations. Locally, she has served on the Cultural Resources Council, Syracuse University School of Architecture, Skaneateles Festival, Sarah G. Austin Foundation and Allyn Foundation board of directors. She has taught acting in Syracuse University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts and is an active member of the Screen Actors Guild and Actors Equity.</p>
