September 14-20 marked the 14th Annual National Infertility Awareness Week(R) and Dr. Robert Kiltz of CNY Fertility Center in Syracuse, NY wanted to share a few thoughts on this subject.
Geronimo had a busy weekend. On Saturday he participated in the Limestone Creek Hunt Club Hunter Pace in Cazenovia, NY, with Lynn as his rider. They had a lot of fun riding the 10 mile pace, with beautiful fields along the way and places to gallop and jump.
On Sunday Geronimo attended a horse show at Heritage Stables in Skaneateles, NY with Lily as his rider. Lily rode Geronimo in the Leadline competition and came away with 7th place. Leadline is where the handler of the horse - in the case Claire from Claire Affleck Training - leads him around the area as the rider gracefully rides. Lily had to do a trot during the competition as well. Watch the video below as Geronimo’s handler Claire begins to warm up Geronimo initially and then Lily rides him around the ring and concludes with a trot.
Dr. Rob purchased his horse Geronimo almost a year ago. As he has worked with him and his trainer, Claire Affleck of Claire Affleck Training, he discovered what a “Gentle Giant” he actually is. Geronimo is indeed a rare find. At first glance he seems so big, and some might say, almost intimidating but he is a true gentleman among horses. He is very well behaved and very good with kids.
Below is a photo gallery of Geronimo on the farm and the last photo is of Breanne, one of the kids that takes lessons and rides Geronimo.
Dr. Robert Kiltz is well known for his success as a fertility doctor but what may not be known is he is an avid ceramist. He has his own ceramics studio and frequently creates beautiful pottery. Dr. Kiltz has some of his artwork on display in several rooms at the CNY Fertility Center in Syracuse, NY.
Dr. Rob rode his horse Geronimo in their first hunter pace on Saturday, August 2nd, 2008. The hunter pace took place at the Staley Farm in DeRuyter, NY. Pictured here is Dr. Rob riding Geronimo, they took 2nd place in the hunter pace that day and plan to participate again in the near future.
