About Freedom Recreational Services:
They provide activities and programs to help youths with disabilities in Cayuga County. Dr. Rob’s horse Geronimo has been taking part in one of these programs, hosted at Claire Affleck’s Farm, for over a year now. Anthony is a disabled youth that enjoys the Freedom Riders program. He loves to ride Dr. Rob’s horse Geronimo (pictured to the right). These kids gain confidence and self-esteem in a loving, caring environment. Our fundraiser will help fund this program and others like it. Proceeds from the event will be donated to Freedom Recreational Services.
Donations:
If you can’t attend the event but would still like to donate to this worthy charity, please send a check written out to Freedom Recreational Services, include a memo “Dr. Rob Kiltz Fundraiser.”

Around the world with Geronimo
Breanne shows us how to do a horse riding exercise called “Around the world”.
Geronimo parades through Cazenovia
On Sunday Geronimo and his handler, Claire Affleck, attended Limestone Creek’s opening hunt. The hunt began with the Parade of Hounds down Main Street in Cazenovia, NY.
Geronimo for success in action!
Geronimo had a busy weekend. On Saturday he participated in the Limestone Creek Hunt Club Hunter Pace in Cazenovia, NY, with Lynn as his rider. They had a lot of fun riding the 10 mile pace, with beautiful fields along the way and places to gallop and jump.
On Sunday Geronimo attended a horse show at Heritage Stables in Skaneateles, NY with Lily as his rider. Lily rode Geronimo in the Leadline competition and came away with 7th place. Leadline is where the handler of the horse – in the case Claire from Claire Affleck Training - leads him around the area as the rider gracefully rides. Lily had to do a trot during the competition as well. Watch the video below as Geronimo’s handler Claire begins to warm up Geronimo initially and then Lily rides him around the ring and concludes with a trot.
Lily rides Geronimo in leadline competition
Today Claire AffleckTraining took Dr. Rob’s horse Geronimo to a competition in Skaneateles, NY at Heritage Stables. Lily rode Geronimo in a leadline competition, it was the first time she rode him in this particular competition. They both did a wonderful job!
Lessons with Geronimo
Breanne, one of the exceptional kids that rides and trains with Geronimo at Claire Affleck Training, talks about Geronimo, horse care and shows us how to ride. Thanks Breanne!
Geronimo the “Gentle Giant”
Dr. Rob purchased his horse Geronimo almost a year ago. As he has worked with him and his trainer, Claire Affleck of Claire Affleck Training, he discovered what a “Gentle Giant” he actually is. Geronimo is indeed a rare find. At first glance he seems so big, and some might say, almost intimidating but he is a true gentleman among horses. He is very well behaved and very good with kids.
Below is a photo gallery of Geronimo on the farm and the last photo is of Breanne, one of the kids that takes lessons and rides Geronimo.
