Art Fundraiser off to a Great Start!
The Art Fundraiser for Laker Limo kicked off last night with the Meet the Artist Reception. My thanks to Hairtique Salon and Day Spa for hosting the event. A great success with great people and connections. We raised nearly $2000 for the Laker Limo service so far and the fundraiser will continue through this Saturday during Hairtique’s normal business hours. Below are a few of my art pieces being sold for this fundraiser.
Video: Daily Intention – Connect and Plug In
Hello and good morning, another spectacular day in the Universe
Connect and Plug In, my intention of the day
Another awesome and amazing day
The power of life is draining some days
I feel undone and depleted I say
Where to find the power, I am dismayed
I pray and pray to find the treasure this day
To take a breath and find the way
This I search to find fun, meaning and play [...]
Art
Art has always been a mainstay in my life from the time I was a child. I see beauty all around me and am compelled to create. I started working with wood and metal in primary school and moved on to making silver jewelry and ceramics in high school. I purchased my very first pottery wheel at the age of 16 and still use the same wheel today. In college I minored in art while majoring in human sciences. Most of my art courses were taken at LACC, including ceramics, drawing, design & lettering. Although I continued my education in medicine at University of California, I maintained my artistic roots. UC Davis has a fantastic art and ceramics studio for students, which I fully took advantage of, working mostly with wood making furniture.
These days I spend most of my artistic energy on creating with clay. I have a wonderful studio at my home on the Eastern shore of Skaneateles Lake, where I spend a great deal of time creating ceramic works. I often donate my art to charitable causes, give them as gifts, or display them in my home and office. I recently began exploring the art of painting as well as making music. Creativity is a gift that fuels our inspiration and makes us feel alive. Making time for my art is as important to me as breathing.

Dr. Rob wears many hats
Dr. Robert Kiltz is well known for his success as a fertility doctor but what may not be known is he is an avid ceramist. He has his own ceramics studio and frequently creates beautiful pottery. Dr. Kiltz has some of his artwork on display in several rooms at the CNY Fertility Center in Syracuse, NY.
