Video: Daily Intention – Not Far Away

24 February 2010 by admin, No Comments

Hello and a great day in the Universe
Not far away, my intention of the day

One and the same
All part of me
All part of thee
A simple gift I see
All you have to do
Is to touch and now I see
Now I simply close thy eyes
And there you be
Right in front of me
A thought to see
Not far away, as you say
Now there you be
Always in front of me
Nothing more than this
To close thy eyes
And there you be
A blessing of love
A gift of thee
Everything is within
Nothing a sin
A thought to see
All one and the same
Always with me

Love,
Dr. Rob

Daily Quotes:

“The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, and becomes nothing. He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn and feel and change and grow and love and live.”

“Love yourself—accept yourself—forgive yourself—and be good to yourself, because without you the rest of us are without a source of many wonderful things.”

~ Leo Buscaglia

Dr. Rob on my mind:

Wow! Another beautiful day to share my thoughts and ideas of life, which can be a challenge some days. Yes, the act of sharing ones inner thoughts, where else can they be, good or bad, right or wrong, a challenge. I mean, the thoughts are always there yet getting them out and on to paper, or the electronic version can be hard to do. Or is this again simply the thoughts that it is hard and then, bingo, that is what it is. We are constantly thinking, for this is what the brain is designed to do.

Think is the natural process of the brain and thus involves us in the doings of the Universe. Although many days I am concerned with what I am doing and not sure if they are a result of thinking, I.E. what were you thinking? As if I wasn’t thinking before I acted or said some words I wished I had not. Everything we do involves thinking. If we do not constantly think, we are but a tree. Not to say that being a tree is a bad thing, I love trees, but in the doing is what makes us different from all other plants and animals. Being the creator of our life, the journey part, we are compelled to move forward and do something. And in the satisfaction or dissatisfaction of anything, whatever we are involved with in the day, we are pushed to do something else, or nothing in some cases. Being satisfied with whatever we are doing is the key yet having desire to move forward and do something else is a natural process of the dissatisfied Universe. I want it better and different. Yet the enemy of good, better is always lurking around the corner.

Now, non attachment is the concept that I am challenged with each day. This idea of judging things seems to be an integral part of our thought process. And we often make it imperfect, leading to frustration and unhappiness. Now I have come to the idea, I was going to say conclusion, yet this is not the end, that all things are a gift and good. As the Buddha states, all things teach, or some rendition of that. My energy then sees the goodness in the teachings and lessons, thus in the thing created and I then can move forward with the satisfaction of I did the best for the day.

Always do your best is right from The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.

As I drove to work this snowy and blustery day in February, I contemplated the existence of God. Listening to The God Delusion, by Richard Dawkins, the saint of the atheists, I have come to understand that God is simply a thought and a connection of our inner to the outer. Yet the outer is not, for it is all within. Our ability to touch and to see, something close or something far is an option and a choice. Our ability to visualize and create within is the master and God within. Our thoughts of knowing that there is a guide that we can communicate with, 24/7, and find solid ground to stand, creates our comfort zone. A simple thought that does not require more than that. To believe and have faith is to find the within in all beings, animals and trees. And Buddha again teaches this triple truth to all: “A generous heart, kind speech, and a life of service and compassion are the things which renew humanity.” If we are sharing love and kindness to all, there be no need to argue, simply allow all things to be as they are, gifts of the Universe.

Dr. Rob’s 12 minute meditation:

Not far away, a breath I say
This is how I start the day
In one, smile out two
The energy of thee
All within me
In one, smile out two
As I walk in the garden of life
Beauty I see in the trees
Vibrations touch all of me
In one, smile out two
Simple tai chi, yoga I be
Love all that I see
In one, smile out two
The light and beauty of thee
Not far away, a breath I say

Namaste,

Dr. Rob
